Waddup people,

How has the second week of 2019 been? Are you stuck in a rut like I am? Let’s engage in the comment section below.

What comes to mind whenever someone mentions vinyl/PVC trend? I immediately think sass, class, badass! And I couldn’t be wrong at all. I know You agree with me when I say vinyl is such a statement by itself. Whether you choose to dress it up or down, you can’t go wrong. Vinyl was huuuuge in 2018 with stores like Zara, Missguided, Forever 21, Mango, H&M and Pretty Little Thing making clothing items in different styles. If you are a street style fanatic in Kenya you might have noticed our own Vostilook was/is stocking a range of Vinyl pieces (pants, skirts, shorts, tops and coats).

Wearing Vinyl is quite simple because you need to do the absolute minimum when pairing, otherwise you will look over dressed. I for instance paired these high waisted pants with a black and white striped blouse. A pair of  buckle strap chunky gladiator sandals added enough character to the look. Whether you choose to wear a blazer, a denim jacket, a leather jacket, a tunic top or a leather jacket best believe you are gonna turn heads.

FACT: Vinyl can be such a daunting fabric to wear because it makes someone sweat, A LOT! Especially if the sun is out. At the end of the day however we all have to make compromises, and looking good at whatever cost is one of them!

Side Note: Are you even in Kenya if you don’t see the Dr. Someone posters? Like we shot for a straight one hour before realizing that poster was there! I was just like Fuck it! We can’t repeat this. This is as real as it gets! I need to find this “Dr. Muhammed” and collect my marketing paycheck.

Is there something you would like to see more of on the blog this year? Let me know.

Till next time, stay fabulous!
